About Us

At first, there were four of us.

A small group of friends drawn together by a shared appetitie for adventure. We set off to cycle 8,000km across West Africa, bonding through the grit of the road, moments of joy, and the honour of being welcomed into the lives of people across the region. That journey “Ride West Africa” changed all of our lives. Most of all, it changed how I wanted to travel, connect, and learn.

Crossing nine countries and raising funds for grassroots initiatives in Ghana, I began to realise something else: that many of the stories that are told about danger, corruption, and dysfunction flatten the complexity of places and the people who call them home. They miss the ingenuity, resilience, warmth, and brilliance that exist far beyond the surface stories that often shape our perceptions.

That realisation planted the seed for what would become The Impact Tour. A way of travelling that invites people to move past assumptions, and meet places and people on their own terms.

We began with a simple idea: to create immersive journeys co-led by local people deeply rooted in place, doing meaningful work, and generous enough to invite others in. These week-long experiences became part learning, part connection, and part quiet rethinking. Guests were welcomed into homes, markets, organisations, and conversations they’d never find in a guidebook and they left not only with memories, but with a renewed sense of relationship, trust, and possibility.

Over time, these trips became spaces where stories shifted. Where people came with questions, and left with connections. Some returned home as supporters or collaborators. Others simply carried a new perspective one that made them more curious, more humble, and more aware of the power of who we choose to listen to.

After leading more than 80 people through these experiences, we launched The Impact Tour to make this kind of travel possible for more individuals, families, and organisations those willing to cross a border and leave something behind: a fixed idea.

This isn’t about helping or fixing. It’s about showing up with open eyes, open minds, and a willingness to be changed.

If that sounds like your kind of journey we’d love to travel with you.
